We made a decision, a life changing one, to move thousands of miles, to experience life in a different place, to experience new things, to meet new people. It was a relatively quick decision, impulsive for us who are usually so indecisive!! Three months on, we now packing up to go home ... just for Christmas.
We like it here in Massachusetts, it's a lovely part of America. We've met some lovely people, have done some amazing things. The children love it too!! They've settled in so well here. And that has made the experience so much better for all of us.
Big A is doing very well at school, is doing Ballet, Tap and Jazz and Acrobatics here. I bought her a keyboard to practice her piano skills but she not so keen!!
Mr R is very busy 4 and a half year old!! He goes to school two mornings a week, then the other days he does ice-skating/hockey, swimming and gymnastics. He still talks about the imaginary witch!! He is very clever and bright!!
Little A is two and is home with me full-time, except for an hr a week she goes into Y (YMCA) child watch room while I work out and Mr. R swims. She is a cutie. She sleeps in a big girl bed now and is very good to go down to sleep. Although she visits us most nights!! Her party trick is saying the alphabet, .....h, i, buddy, l, m, n, o, p ... Buddy (R's nickname) has somehow got into her alphabet!!
Mr. C and I are happy with our decision, we left our cozy life with lots of family support and took a risk!! And it seems to have worked out good. We will be here two, maybe three years and so far so good, looking forward to going home for Christmas but I think we'll also look forward to returning here, our now home.
